Our mission is to provide a top-notch education for those with a passion to positively change the world around them through massage therapy.
Massage Life began in 2017 and has since delivered over 40,000 massages and received over 3,000 5-star reviews. With this experience, we received necessary approvals and licensures and began teaching students in 2023. We're now one of the area's top massage schools, with smaller classes, flexible and fast track schedules, pay-as-you-go financing, and real-life experience in a professional spa.
Our curriculum has been approved by Utah's Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOPL).
REGISTERED UNDER THE UTAH POSTSECONDARY PROPRIETARY SCHOOL ACT (Title 13, Chapter 34, Utah Code). Registration under the Utah Postsecondary Proprietary School Act does not mean that the State of Utah supervises, recommends, nor accredits the institution. It is the student's responsibility to determine whether credits, degrees, or certificates from the institution will transfer to other institutions or meet employers' training requirements. This may be done by calling the prospective school or employer. The institution is not accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education.
Upon graduation, students will be educated and competent in the occupation of Massage Therapy; providing safe and effective massage therapy, along with a set of life-long skills and techniques, and a passion for this beautiful, healing art. Self care and career longevity are big focuses and encouraged for students and staff alike.
We offer flexible schedules to meet your needs, so you can continue to work, maintain a family, and keep balance in your life. Choose from these class schedules:
Saturdays are 'catch-up days' (10:00am-2:00pm) used for make-ups and extra time with instructors. The academy is closed on Sundays and major holidays.
Our program includes 628 clock hours over 6-12 months. This includes 100 hours of hand-on clinic experience. You'll be prepared with all essential skills, we will help you prepare and pass all state exams, and help you obtain your Utah massage therapy license.
We will also help you transition into the market working for yourself, joining a company, or continuing your education. Whatever your goal, we are here to help!
Students enjoy smaller class sizes of up 8 students per class. This gives students one-on-one time with instructors for an optimal learning experience.
Our campus is located in the same building as Spa One (our sister company), so you can immerse yourself in a real spa atmosphere and learn from real seasoned professionals. You will learn how spas operate and how to start a business of your own.
The cost of our program is $12,265. This includes everything you need to become a licensed massage therapist, except for your MBLEx test ($265) and state fees ($80). Here's a breakdown:
Pay for classes as you take them. There are 14 classes in all; pay just $895 per class. If you are on an AM/PM schedule, you will likely take one or two classes concurrently. If you are on the fast-track schedule, you may take up to three classes concurrently. Tuition is due one week before classes start. There are no added fees or interest charges for paying as you go.
Save $1,000 if you pay tuition in two installments of $5,317 (due one week before classes start) and $5,318 due (due one week before the seventh class starts). With early payment, you pay only $10,635 in total tuition.
If you apply and are hired by Spa One, our sister-spa located in the same building, the spa will reimburse up to $4,800 in tuition over 48 months. This means you will get a $100/month tuition reimbursement for 48 consecutive months as long as you remain employed with the company and and maintain a schedule of 20 hours or more per week.

Vi first felt the calling of massage when she was just 14. She went on to graduate from the Living Arts Institute in North Carolina in 2019 after earning her associates degree. Even while she was in school herself, she felt compelled to help tutor her fellow classmates, as learning and sharing knowledge has always been a strong passion of hers -- second only to her passion for Massage Therapy and holistic health/healing. Vi's massage background integrates a wide variety of techniques pooled together with a tai chi-like flow to provide her clients with healing for the body, mind, and soul. She is the Director of Education at Massage Life Academy, as well as an instructor. With her academic knowledge, passion, and field experience, Vi creates a learning environment that you can't help but be thrilled to take part in.

Tai has been practicing massage for 9 years and has enjoyed every moment along his journey in helping others out of pain. His story with masaage began when a car accident in 2010. Though grateful for surviving the crash, he still had questions about his recovery. After visiting a chiropractor who had a knowledgeable massage therapist that helped learned more about my recovery, I wanted to know more about what he could do to help others in similar situations. After 2 months of therapy, he decided to pursue massage as a career. Along the way, he
also developed a fascination for fitness and got into calisthenics (body weight training) soon after. After learning more about the human anatomy and how movement influences our healing, he decided to add the two together and has been at it since then. In his free time, Tai enjoys outdoor recreations such as hiking/camping and handstands to soothe the soul.
