Cohort legacy

One School. One Legacy.

Introducing Our Cohort Colors, Symbols, and Core Values

At Massage Life Academy, every graduating class becomes a permanent part of our school’s history. To recognize that place, the Academy has established the Cohort Legacy: a tradition through which every cohort receives a unique number, color, symbol, and featured core value. These distinctions are drawn from the colors of the Massage Life Academy logo and from the principles that shape our culture.

The Cohort Legacy is an honor bestowed by the school. Educational institutions have long created traditions, named awards and buildings, and selected symbols to recognize the people who helped shape them. In the same spirit, each Massage Life Academy cohort is given a lasting identity within our shared history. The symbol does not attempt to describe every student or retroactively define the personality of a class. It simply says: You were here. You helped build this school. You will always be part of its heritage.

The first twelve cohorts form the opening chapter of this tradition (see image). Each pairing has been chosen with intention. The lotus rises from the mud and opens into new life. Cobalt conveys depth and truth. Emerald suggests growth strengthened by responsibility. Gold represents value and abundance, while amber carries warmth and optimism. Rose quartz reflects compassion; ruby, courage; and amethyst, humility and reflection. Sapphire represents constancy, aquamarine clear and confident communication, jade enduring respect, and citrine gratitude and light.

A cohort’s featured value is not the only principle expected of that class, nor is it a claim that every member already embodied that quality. Every student at Massage Life Academy is called to practice all twelve core values: to be open, honest, assertive, respectful, kind, humble, reliable, accountable, brave, positive, abundant, and grateful. The featured value gives each cohort one distinctive place within the collection while reminding us that character is developed through continued practice.

The colors are individual, but they belong to one logo. The symbols are distinct, but they belong to one tradition. The cohorts each hold their own place, but together they form the continuing story of Massage Life Academy. As new classes begin and graduate, new colors and symbols will be added without repeating those that came before, allowing the Cohort Legacy to grow alongside the school.

One school. One legacy. Every cohort permanently honored.
