Upon graduation, students will be educated and competent in the occupation of Massage Therapy; providing safe and effective massage therapy, along with a set of life-long skills and techniques, and a passion for this beautiful, healing art. Self care and career longevity are big focuses and encouraged for students and staff alike.
We offer flexible schedules to meet your needs, with classes in the morning, afternoon, and evening. This lets you continue to work, maintain a family, and keep balance in your life. Classes are held Monday-Friday from:
We are closed Saturdays, Sundays and the week of all major holidays except for tours, meetings with advisors, make up days, and tutoring.
Our program includes 628 clock hours over 21-28 weeks (not including holiday weeks). The programs includes 100 hours of hands-on clinic experience which also counts as work experience as you will work and gain experience in a professional spa.
Upon completion, you'll be prepared to take the MBLEx exam and obtain your massage therapy license in the state of Utah. This will allow you to practice safe and effective massage therapy on any path you choose.
Students enjoy smaller class sizes of up 8 students per class. This gives students one-on-one time with instructors for an optimal learning experience. We have many instructors with a vast amount of experience each specializing in areas they teach. Get to know our instructors here.
Our campus is located in the same building as Spa One (our partner), so you can immerse yourself in a real spa atmosphere and learn from real seasoned professionals. You will learn how spas operate and how to start a business of your own. This gives you a competitive advantage entering the marketplace, as you will have 100 hours of work experience and a letter of recommendation from both instructors and spa management.
The cost of our program is $12,265. This includes everything you need to become a licensed massage therapist, except for your MBLEx test ($265) and state fees ($80). Here's a breakdown:
Pay tuition in two installments, and save $1,000 on tuition. The first installment of $5,317 is due one week before classes start, and the second installment of $5,318 is due one week before the seventh class starts. With the early payment option, you pay only $10,635 in total tuition.
Pay for classes as you take them. There are 14 classes in all; pay just $895 per class. If you are on an AM/PM schedule, you will likely take one or two classes concurrently. If you are on the fast-track schedule, you may take up to three classes concurrently. Tuition is due one week before classes start. There are no added fees or interest charges for paying as you go.
In order to offer federal financial aid, massage schools must be accredited by an independent, recognized agency. Unfortunately, this process cannot be started until a school has operated for at least 5 years. Since we began in 2023, we are not eligible to begin the accreditation process until 2028. We look forward to adding financial aid as soon as we are accredited. For more information, refer to our FAQ's below.
A scholarship is a financial award given to a student to help cover the costs of education, such as tuition, books, and fees. Scholarships are usually awarded based on academic achievement, athletic ability, financial need, or other talents or characteristics. Unlike student loans, scholarships do not require repayment.
We obtain and award scholarships from third parties who actively support the school and the local community. Because scholarships come and go, we offer a one-stop scholarship application system that matches all applicants with all available opportunities. If you're interested in a scholarship, APPLY NOW!
If you apply and are hired by Spa One, our sister-spa located in the same building, the spa will reimburse almost half of your tuition (up to $4,800) over 48 months. This means you will get a $100/month tuition reimbursement for 48 consecutive months as long as you remain employed with the company and and maintain a schedule of 20 hours or more per week.

In Utah, under the Postsecondary Proprietary School Act, approval and accreditation are two different things. Approval means the school has applied and obtained approval from the state, meets minimum standards, and complies with state regulations. Massage Life Academy has been approved and maintains all necessary licenses.
Accreditation means the school has been evaluated by an independent, recognized accrediting agency. Accreditation verifies that an institution meets established educational standards related to curriculum, facility, student outcomes, and institutional effectiveness. Accreditation is required for students to be eligible for federal financial aid. A school must operate for at least 5 years before applying for accreditation. Since we began in 2023, we can not begin the accreditation process until 2028.
Yes, we obtain and award scholarships from third parties who actively support the school and the local community. Their support has far reaching effects: they help young people find careers and become high-paid professionals, they help underprivileged groups gain new opportunities, and they help local businesses who depend on massage therapists to be able to find and hire them.
